Czirelle Dominique E. Papa Activity 3: Roles of a Leader
BS Accountancy 1 – ACC Strategic Management
Leading an organization is not an easy ordeal. It entails being able to manage
the daily affairs happening, keeping track of the progress, and foreseeing the possible
obstacles. In this sense, the following leadership roles, in my opinion, should be the
most present in every leader:
1. Strategist. As a leader, it is imperative to be able to come up with detailed
strategies that would be the basis for coming up with future actions. The amount
of foresight a leader has can be reflected on the actions that he/she executes.
2. Problem-solver. Apart from being good with formulating strategies, a leader
must have the ability to perceive problems and instantaneously choose the best
course of action – in order to mitigate adverse effects from taking into place.
This implies that a leader should be analytical when assessing the situation.
