Action Hero Bud Brigham
I think the biggest takeaway from learning about Bud Brigham is that it doesn’t
matter where you come from or what your past is, anyone can be successful if they
have the right attitude and motivation. Bud had a rough upbringing but it actually made
him a better person because it instilled drive in him. He was also able to find role
models elsewhere instead of emulating those at home.
I also really liked how he mentioned having a good culture and having people
around you that believed and felt similar to you. This is how a business on his level is
able to compete with one that is more successful and this can be taken down to any
level. If everyone around you is working towards a singular goal a similar purpose and
have a similar mindset the company is able to function a lot more effectively. When
running a company this is a goal that should be sought after as well. To surround
ourselves with those that seek after the same goal and believe in the same culture will
put us leaps and bounds above those that do not.
