Achilles vs Gilgamesh
Between the two ancient Greek epics, Gilgamesh and Homer’s lliad, both of the main
heroes within these epics had tons of similarities and many differences. Some of the similarities
run through their blood, through their strengths and friendships. Some of their differences would
be the type of relationships that they held with gods and the impact that death had on their
individual lives. These historical epic heroes face similarities such as being demi gods,
characteristics, strong bonds with those closes to them and as well as differences in character,
how gods meddled in their lives and the reaction to the meaning of death. Between both heroes,
each story tells a different tale but demonstrates the similarities and differences of both historic
epic heroes.
