Components and Impact of Financial Statements and Analysis
Throughout history, humans have operated with a financial system. During ancient days
of bartering on the Silk Road to the modern days of multibillion dollar businesses producing next
generation technology, the production and exchange of goods and services has required people to
maintain a record of the status of their business and financial activities.
Every company is in the business of generating profit. Other entities that consume money
and resources (government, non-profit org’s, etc.) must still be financially balanced to survive
and operate. This is a law of business. This paper discusses components of financial statements
