What types of internal and external accounting reports will you use in the process of
making decisions?
As the CEO of a manufacturing plant located in Europe, I will be responsible for the overall
success of the company and make top-level managerial decisions. According to the
corporatefinanceinstitute, a CEO will be the ultimate authority in making final decisions and is
responsible for leading the development and execution of long-term strategies to increase
shareholder value. The CEO deals with high-level corporate strategy and significant company
decisions while other tasks are delegated to lower-level managers or departments (CFI,2020).
The internal accounting reports allow the company to mitigate risks and identify errors in
financial statements. This report helps to limit exposures to manageable levels. Accounting
reports for internal use are different from the accounting reports that are available to the public.
