EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The reason for my proposal is to receive your authorization to use accountant and
auditor as my career for the rest of the term. Accountant and auditor are careers
that have been around for 5300 years in Eygpt. Accountants and auditors observe
fiscal statements to ensure that they are correct and obeying the laws and
regulations. Accountants and auditors calculate taxes owed, prepare tax returns,
and ensure that taxes are paid appropriately and on time. I first encountered
auditing while working in convenience stores. For an accountant and auditor
career, a bachelor degree is needed, and if I want to become a certified public
accountant, I will need extra requirements. A certified public accountant can make
$80,000 to $100,000. However, an accountant and auditor make around $63,550. I
will like to thank you in advance for the opportunity for allowing me to share my

ACCOUNTANT AND AUDITOR PROPOSAL
Hello and thank you for permitting me the chance to explore the career/job of my choice.
Accountant and auditor are the careers I have selected to do my research, and I have some
interesting facts about accountant and auditor. Upon my research, I found that accountant and
auditor started in Egypt. In the 14th-century, Luca Pacioli introduced double-entry bookkeeping.
In Italy Pacioli even published a book in five different languages named De Computiss et
Scripturis. Of Reckonings and Writings is the book translation in English. I hope with the history,
you will be persuaded to allow me continuously to use accountant and auditors for the course of
the class.
BACKGROUND
I have always found interest in accountant and auditor.While assisting by a supervisor at a job
fair at Craven Community College a young woman approached me about becoming a tax
preparer. Although the job sounds interesting, I declined the opportunity because I was already a
student and already employed. The conversation encouraged me to work toward my business
degree. I had always handled money and worked with people since I was 15 years old.
While working in at various convenience stores, the business was audited on a monthly basis. I
was always shocked at how fast the people were with their fingers on their calculators. I was not
aware that the auditor would collect and calculate all of the data entered into the other people’s
