Jesus Christ was conceived through the Virgin Mary by the power of the Holy Spirit and
Christians believe Jesus is born in the town of Bethlehem around the year of 4 B.C. Jesus
lived for about thirty years proclaiming the Word of the Lord, and performing miracles in
various towns. Every person who encountered or hasn’t encountered Jesus has his or her
own view of who He is. “Some say [Jesus is] John the Baptist, others say Eli’jah, and
others Jeremiah or one of the prophets." The twelve apostles saw Him as a teacher, and as
Christ, Son of the living God. The sick and the sufferers saw Him as a savior because their
faith in Him cured the ailments. Then there were people like the Pharisees, who did not
like Jesus, and tried to fault find in everything that He did. Jesus Christ has held many
different titles and names, but according to Joseph Ratzinger, Jesus Christ is the Son of
God, the Son of Mary, and the savior of the world, but how does Jesus live up to all these
names and titles that are given to him when he is just a human.
Jesus has a handful of names and titles that we associate Him with, but one of the most
common titles is that Jesus is the Son of God. The people of Israel gave the title Son of
God to Jesus in the Old Testament , and this title signified that Jesus is the adoptive Son of
