Chapter One
1. I believe the statute called the, “Woman’s 10–Hour Law”, is unfair. In today’s society women still
fight for equal rights, but in this case the rights they have are not equal. Women can’t expect to
be treated equal to men and claim they need certain benefits to suit their fragile needs. This in
fact implies that women can’t do the job as men can, which is untrue. I don’t believe the law
should be a progressive science because there’s no real reason why women can’t work a long 10
hour shift as the man next to her does. Women are more than just a housewife and a carrier of
children and I believe that both of these tasks are equally the man’s responsibility as well.

3. Yes, I do believe the South Coast’s fleet rules preempted by the federal Clean Air Act because
federal laws overpower state laws and California was trying to get away with breaking the law.
5. Yes, claiming that people can’t use billboards or any outdoor advertisements other than their
property is unconstitutional. Businesses pay for those advertisements and if drivers can’t pay
attention to the road while reading a sign with a few words, they probably shouldn’t be driving
in the first place.
