Abused Individuals
Social and human capital affects abused individuals differently. Social capital is the
resources through which individual social ties that allow for accessibility of information lead to
ideas and emotional support. Human capital can be measured by the level of completed
education, living conditions position, and employment status. The risk of abuse is high when the
abuser is better educated, increasing their human capital. Women having exposure to any of the
types of capitals have a greater opportunity to find help using both informal resources such as
family and friends and formal resources such as social service agencies and shelter (Kim, & Lee,
2018). The resources can assist them in transitioning towards a non-violent life. An individual’s
health is paramount, which is why the abused need to be helped emotionally. The mental health
