First Response Paper- Response on Absolutism
Absolutism was a common practice for a good portion of human existence. Absolutism
was the total and unrestricted power possessed by one person, usually a king. This person could
make any decision they wanted, and the action would be carried through indefinitely. There are
no systems of checks and balances for a person with absolute power. Whatever that individual
wanted, he/she got it.
