A Case Study on Postpartum Depression
Chrissy Teigen, age 31, is a famous men’s magazine model, cook book author, and co–
host of Lip Sync Battle. She is also the wife of famous music artist, John Legend, and recently
became a mother. A few days ago, she opened up to a magazine article about her experiences
and mood after having her first child. She had a hard time adjusting to being a new mother.
When Chrissy first had her daughter, Luna, she felt she had everything she needed to make her a
happy woman- a great career, a loving husband, a beautiful daughter, and an amazing support
system. However, for several months after her daughter’s birth she felt very unhappy. She was
confused as to how could she be so unhappy when everything around her was so great. When she
