Let’s talk,
If you’ve been even remotely on Twitter today and depending on whom you
follow, you would know that Abacha is causing kata kata. Let’s digress for a
moment.
Centenary awards /celebration happened. Two things: What are we
celebrating really? A failed state, corruption, vested interests, Boko Haram?
What exactly are we celebrating? There are varying opinions on if it should
have happened and we would like to hear yours. Oya, comment below.
Second thing, what in the world was Jona thinking when he decided to name
Abacha aka dictator aka dracula aka Nigeria’s worst nightmare as an award
recipient? An outstanding promoter of UNITY, PATRIOTISM and NATIONAL
DEVELOPMENT. Abacha?
Such things make me question Jona’s thought process, but then you look at
the nation and the answer stares right back at you.
Now, why is this post here and why should you be concerned? Because you
need to know what is going on. You know we don’t sugar coat things around
here. I love Nigeria, I really do, but if you do not know the things that are
wrong then you won’t know how or what to change.
I wish I could share posts that highlight our success as a nation but since
those are nowhere to be found because, you know, vested interests. So for
now, get frustrated and maybe even angry; and hopefully that stirs up
change. So read up !
One more thing, I’ve heard people not wanting to speak on certain issues or
