Fred Phelps claimed to be religious speaker. He was also a Father of two sons and a much
disliked man. He passed away in March 2014 and was grieved by few. His religious stand point
in life was that God hated a lot of the behaviors of people around the world. Phelps felt the need
to let everyone around him know how much God hated what they were doing and hurt a lot of
other people’s own truths and beliefs, so much so that he made American soldiers deaths
comical and almost deserved.
Phelps was said to be a Christian. Some however, may say he wasn’t. Phelps ran a Baptist
church in Topeka, Kansas; he did not have many followers. Baptism is based off of Christianity,
and ideally they should not be two different places, really; and as a Christian Phelps felt the need
to speak out, and preach what God did and did not like, which is common for a preacher to do.
