A Black Feminist Statement
The authors of the these Black Feminist statements “are actively committed to struggling
against racial, sexual, heterosexual, and class oppression, based upon the fact that the major
systems of oppression are interlocking.” (Combahee River Collective) They would put an end to
the various different oppressions of women of color. Black women are a double minority as we
live in a system ruled by the white male we are faced with oppression based upon our race and
our sex. Black women have always tried to resist the system of the white male rulers. Black
Liberation is in close connect with the black feminism and their has been subtle tactics that were
