PERSONAL GOAL STATEMENT
Educational and Professional Goals
The nursing profession possesses many challenges and often demand many personal
sacrifices, but the rewards that come along with it are very rewarding and immeasurable. It is
known to be one of the most respected fields in the world (Nurse Journal, 2018). I have always
had a passion for science and great admiration for medical professionals while growing up. This
admiration blossom and captivated my life in a unique way when I was enrolled at a private
Catholic high school. I was quickly introduced to the nursing field while closely working
alongside The Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi. The dedication and humility they displayed by
going above and beyond to help the sick and the poor, and genuinely making sure that they are
happy and comfortable in different situations were truly inspirational (Franciscans Sisters, 2003).
These qualities were instilled in me which motivated me to become a nurse in order to help
