in an easier way.
1) market expansion
TATA motors were initially setup as a commercial vehicle manufacturer which later made its
expansion into the passenger vehicle industry. Since then, it became one of the top most passenger
and commercial vehicle manufacturer in the world. With strategic alliances with other leading
companies at international level, TATA was able to start its international market.
Setup in 1945, but the company was able to hit the New York stock market in 2004 and is the first
Indian automobile manufacture company to be there. Also, TATA made many collaborations with
the leading manufacturers of different countries to expand their market.
For example, it mainly associated with Indian Defense to provide the military vehicles to the
national defense. In 2004 it acquired Daewoo to become one the top most vehicle manufacturer in
south Korea
Mostly the strategy was to acquire or associate with a top most company in other nations to build
a brand value in each nation either in terms of supplying technology, R&D and become the leader
in every aspect.
