Explanation of Terms
Clinical workflow is something that we experience as medical professionals on a daily
basis. The term is simply the way in which activities in the healthcare setting are carried out, by
whom, in what order, etc. There are multiple processes in organizations that are good examples
of clinical workflow; admitting a patient, submitting a claim, and prescribing a medication are
