The 5 C’s of Las Vegas Destination Weddings
The 5 C’s are used for the Marketing analysis process that is necessary in order to have a
marketing strategy for a product or a service. The 5 C’s in marketing include: customer needs, company’s
competence, competition, collaborators, and context. These five elements will help the process of the
marketing decision making that is necessary in a future marketing plan. In this particular case we are
focusing the analysis of the 5 C’s on the destination weddings in Las Vegas.
One of the most important components of the 5 C’S for the destination wedding in Las Vegas are
the Customer needs and wants. According to Robert Dolan, “The central role of marketing in the
enterprise stems from the fact that marketing is the process via which a firm creates value for its chosen
customers. Value is created by meeting customer’s needs. Thus, a firm needs to define itself not by the
product it sells, but by the customer benefit provided.” Based on this idea we need to exceed the benefits
the couples are looking when they decide to celebrate their wedding in Las Vegas in order to satisfy their
needs. We can say that making the couple’s dream come true is our goal, but in fact we want to go beyond
that. We want to make sure that their wedding is a lifetime experience that they will remember forever not
as a fairytale, but as the best moment of their lives.
The couple primarily will need detail information about all the options they have available to get married
in Las Vegas. It really depends on the vision, the needs, and the budget the couple may have for their
specific wedding. For example, if they are looking for an express wedding without guests or a more
organized and planned wedding with an established number of guests and a big ceremony. This actually
will require to think about all the details that a wedding ceremony requires such as: a budget, a vision of
what they want for their wedding- this can be included in a wedding package-, the venue or the place
where they want to hold the reception, the number of guests, the reception food and drink menu, and the
date and time of the wedding.
It’s good to take note on the collaboration between the vendors and venue to fulfill all these necessities.
With all these considerations going on, there must be a sense of clarity of what exactly you wish to see
fulfilled. Ideas to consider would be to find out what role the bride and groom, guests, and venue play into
the process with the significance of each, and also expel myths of destination weddings. Thinking about
who you are as a couple will help narrow down your choices. Questions that should be considered can be:
Do you enjoy nature? Enjoy eating out? Would you prefer a quiet or more crowded environment? Is there
something that all your guests can take away from this day?
The roles of the bride and groom are important but just as much should be considered for those people in
their lives that have played an important role while getting to this stage in life. Therefore, considering the
likes and dislikes of your guests and immediate relatives should be taken into consideration just as much
as the theme of the event. This can be anywhere from listening to your preferences, and understanding the
vision that is being anticipated for the venue to choosing the perfect day for the event.
The best venues are the ones that anticipate your needs, can accommodate promptly, and do not limit
those needs from having a memorable experience because of budget constraints. Something that couples
usually don’t take into consideration is the weather and the budget constraints for them and their guests. If
you want to have a perfect and unforgettable wedding then you would want perfect weather, but does that
really exist? Even though some venues are offered indoors, it does not help if you have to pay a high cost
because of the weather conditions. Often times, perfect weather is well within range of an event taking
place, and high influx of tourist. That is why it is good to carefully plan the time when the event will take
place. It is not too far removed from creating a spreadsheet to be sure everything is on track and that
important milestones are being accomplished. By having a more robust narrative of what you want your
