Motel 6: We’ll Leave the Light On For Ya
As someone who doesn’t watch a lot of television and when I do, I’m often able to fast
forward through commercials, if something doesn’t stand out instantly for me, I’ll immediately
forget it. That tends to be the case with most every commercial I see but there is one I saw
recently which stuck in my mind despite not necessarily being humorous or off the wall as some
companies seem to go with. It was a relatively basic commercial for a Motel 6 but relatively
light-hearted music, coupled with descriptions of the amenities they offer and the images of
people seeming to enjoy a stay away from home delivered the message they were going for
incredibly effectively.
