A. The term cultural appropriation has been used loosely in the past years and now
since we are starting to see a shift in cultural movement, it is now coming to mainstream
and starting create havoc for those who are aware and is affected by it.

III.Claim 1 (2-3)
• Argument– Caucasian people (mainly celebrities) are able to see different cultures
through the uses of social media which then leads them to often imitating lingo,
styles etc used on different mediums such as “Black twitter”, snap chat and
Instagram.
• Evidence– According to blogger Morgan Budman’s article The Double standards
of Cultural Appropriation it states that “memes have the power to point out racist
double standards towards celebrities adopting black culture as “trendy.” This
