Chapter 1:
In a news casting room for Saludos (salu2): two people introduce themselves, Victor
Gutierrez and Ana Garcia Blanco. The program is global and streams through many
countries speaking Spanish. They also list places in California and across the country
that derive from Spanish names. They then cover many other topics. They listen to
people from many places. In Los Angeles there are 48% of people who are Hispanic,
and in California there are 37%. Most of which cannot speak Spanish. The reporter
Laura talks to many people from LA in Spanish. She asks many questions about
them. They then realize that many people actually do speak Spanish, not just people
of Hispanic background.
Chapter 2:
There again, there are the two announcers greeting us to begin again. They then
talk about universities. It is not interesting for the students but for the parents that
pay for it. Victor then says that he went to UCLA and received a degree in English
and Sociology. Ana majored in communications. They both studied abroad and
agreed that it was a great experience. The reporter Laura is now at the Pacific
University in Peru. This is a place where you can study Spanish and visit cool
attractions. Pacific University is an academic place for international studies. There
are many people studying abroad with different reasons of doing so. International
student go out to practice their skills. They even sometimes go and live with a
Spanish speaking family for the same reason. Gueno Juato, is also a great place to
visit. There is a lot of history and culture, you can go walking to take in the beauty.
It’s a great place to further study.
Chapter 3:
Victor and Ana now are talking about their families. The reporter Laura is in
Barcelona now, the 2nd biggest city in Spain. Their families are very important to
them, but recently the idea of a traditional family has been changing for 30 years
