world in their own words (Bates, Cozby 2015).” Studying and analyzing behavior of
groups while they feel most comfortable could lead to better understanding of current
situations. Researchers will use observations from one on one interactions, focus groups,
and case studies to gather data. The data is personal compared to quantitative which is just
statistical. The advantages of qualitative research are that the groups and meetings are easy
to plan and asking open ended questions leads to more depth in the answers.
Statement two: Quantitative research methods are the best.
The old saying of numbers never lie makes quantitative research methods the best.
“Quantitative research tends to focus on specific behaviors that can be easily quantified
(counted). (Bates, Cozby 2015) Quantitative is based on statistical results using
mathematical equations to prove or disprove a hypothesis. The advantages of quantitative
research is that you are one getting rid of human bias. While using open ended questions
during a focus group qualitative focuses on the answer given by the subject. The answer
can become less accurate because the research could just have been told that the answer
that they wanted to hear by the subject to make them happy. Lastly its more geared
towards accuracy since the data being
