Two Fourteen Line Poems
Family Dinner -Alissa Bowman
we gather around the table
our family and friends
we eat lots of food-
turkey, stuffing, and more

aunts, grandparents, and in-laws
we all come together
we eat and talk
and talk and eat
until we are stuffed
and falling out of our seat
most call this thanksgiving
to us, we are just living

warmth seeping from your mug of hot chocolate

sitting by the fire, with your furry companion
