SUBJECT: Proposal to Create Guidelines for the Formation of the School Magazine
This proposal seeks approval to plan, write, and produce the best guidelines for the
formation or the publication of the school magazine to help in the provision of the school events
and the campus history to the parents and new students. This proposal begins with a summary of
why the guidelines for a good campus magazine is needed and how it would be of great importance.
It is followed by the description of the content and layout of the document. A section devoted to
explaining on each of the proposed tasks required to complete the project is provided with the
visual aids of a time frame within which the project will be executed along with the budget for the
whole project.
Summary
The campus or school magazine is a historical document that highlights the events and the past
history of the school. The magazine, therefore, needs to be produced within a regular period of
time especially due to the fact that, this guidelines focuses on publication of a school magazine
that will present the contemporary news and events in the school compound and calendar. For
instance, it should be produced on a monthly basis so as to keep both the students and the parents
updated on the events that are happening within and outside the school premises concerning the
campus or university curriculum. The campus magazine is a document that is used to manage and
maintain the school’s outlook and therefore it should be published with much seriousness accorded
to it The university media department, however, is laid back on the idea of improving the university
magazine as well as its timely production monthly. This is a reason enough to come up with proper
guidelines for efficient publication of the magazine.
The magazine publication guideline will be written in a friendly manner with a user based lay out.
This will make it easy to be understood and be read easily by the targeted audience which includes
the journalism students and the upcoming bloggers in the school compound as well as the school’s
media house. The guideline will help in solving the school existing problem of laid back production
of the school magazines, a thing which should be produced on a monthly basis due to its demand
and the fact that it also maintains the university’s outlook. The proposal will examine the university
goals and objectives and come up with a guideline for campus magazine that will try or rather best
fit the goals of the learning institution The guideline will be produced collaboratively in a manner
that the school’s managerial team conforms to the ideas that the guideline for the publication of the
campus magazine for the Arizona states university comes with it.
Our guides for the publication of the school magazines will be compiled into a single document to
make its accessibility easier. The guidelines will be simple and clear enough to enable the media
department to follow each guideline to the latter for the enhancement in publications of the campus
or school magazines on a monthly basis so that the parents are not left out on the university
activities that the students undertake each month. This guideline will not only allow the media
