1) Sam informing Carol of a transaction he very well knew was never going to happen is an example of subjective
Fault as he purposely knew the car was never going to be in his possession but he still went ahead and asked for
the Microcomputer in advance. This is a form of Mens rea or mental fault and yes it would be treated as a crime as
he engaged in prohibited conduct.
2) Sara is definitely guilty of forgery as she erased Rick’s name and substituted her own in order to have the deed
conveyed to herself as opposed to Rick. This form of crime is obtaining property by False pretenses as she is
knowingly falsifying and misrepresenting the individual on the deed. This type of deception Sara has done is
subjective.
3) Ann’s attempted use of the weapon constitutes this crime as an aggravated robbery. This is a form larceny in
which Ann used a threat of force as she took the property of Bonnie in her immediate presence and as she was
being pursued by bonnie brandished a gun and pointed it at her with the intention of shooting her.
4) Jones and Wilson committed theft.
5) Two factors are in play in this scenario the theft of the item and the aggravated robbery. When the truck drivers
took the 100 bill and split it, they committed a crime. They permanently deprived the owner of the desk of the
money that was inside. If they had given the money back, they would’ve committed no crime. The Robbery
portion happened when one of the truck drivers pulled out a knife which constitutes as aggravated assault and
although the money did not belong to one of the drivers, he did take out a weapon and attempted to manipulate
the other driver in participating in the robbery. This is also duress on the second drive’s part as he was being
threatened with bodily harm if he did not take the money
