As Chris Jami, The Workaholics said, “Every job from the heart is, ultimately, of
equal value. The nurse injects the syringe; the writer slides the pen; the farmer plows the dirt; the
comedian draws the laughter. Monetary income is the perfect deceiver of a man's true worth.” I
tend to be rather skeptical whenever this quote comes to my mind. It proves that no job deserves
more credit than the other. Every job has its own uniqueness. Deciding on what one wants to be
in life can prove to be a demanding task. There are so many, yet limited, different opportunities
in the world to have an excellent career and make a decent living by doing something one loves.
We all have that dream job we would love to do, the job we have been dreaming to have since we
were children.
In this essay, we will be discussing about the criteria involved in the evaluation of
these three careers; Accounting, PC technician, and a Technical support analyst. In this essay, we
will be looking at these following criteria that evaluates these three careers. The criteria include;
Salary, Benefits, Location, Flexibility, and Job Security. In addition, the following criteria have
been evaluated to fit in to the careers. These criteria, are really important to consider

When choosing career. The table below is the evaluation matrix for the following careers under
the above listed criteria.
The first career mentioned in the career evaluation matrix is PC Technician, a PC
Technician according to Snag job, is a person that assesses, repairs and maintain computers for
companies and individuals. PC Technician could be working for a big firm directly or they could
have their own repair shops, or they could be working for a computer repair companies which
travel to the customer's location.
Firstly, salary is one of the most important criteria in the evaluation of careers, this is
why uniquely it stands out among other criteria earning a 30% weight, 90 in rating and 27 in
weighted score in our evaluation matrix. Although, salary should not be the main reason going
into a career, but the love and enthusiasm for the career. However, not to be misquote salary is
also a significant factor when going into the career of your own choice. Additionally, the base

salary for someone who is a pc technician varies depending on a number of factors including,
location, industry, the size of the company, the educational level of the person and years of
experience the person have in the field. However, the estimated base salary for a PC Technician

could go on to $85,000 to $95,000 depending how long the stay of the person with the company
is, ("Job research") reports.
Secondly, Moving on from salary is benefits. Benefits is another important factor
when going into or choosing a career because you want a career that is going to reward you for
